Bob Glose Named Corporate Vice President at the CEI Group, Inc.

Trevose, PA, February 11, 2016 – Bob Glose has been promoted to the newly created position of corporate vice president at the CEI Group, Inc. (CEI), the company announced today.

Mr. Glose reports directly to Wayne Smolda, CEI’s chief executive officer and president, and now has overall responsibility for the company’s operations and enterprise resource management.

“In his new executive position, Bob will direct the company’s resources both to ensure we meet all of our clients’ needs and the goals of our strategic plan for growth and expansion into specialized markets,” said Mr. Smolda. “Bob is particularly well-suited for this role because of his background and experience in information technology, client management and operations.”

A 1991 graduate of West Virginia University, Mr. Glose has 14 years of diverse experience at CEI, spread over two terms of service. He began in 1997 and served as manager of network and infrastructure in the IT department, before leaving in 2000 for a five-year stint as head of IT security for an insurance company. Upon rejoining CEI, Mr. Glose was a team leader in the strategic account services department. In 2013, he was named director of operations and last year was promoted to senior director.… Read more

CEI Adds New Rearview Defensive Driving Online Training Module to Its DriverCare™ Fleet Safety Application

Trevose, PA, January 29, 2016 – The CEI Group, Inc. (CEI) has added a new online fleet driver safety lesson to its DriverCare accident prevention application, the company announced today. Entitled, “Rearview Defensive Driving,” its goal is to help fleet drivers avoid rear-end and lane-change collisions, which remain among the most common kinds of traffic accidents.

The five-minute module comes with a five-question test, and covers the following topics:
• How to adjust your mirrors to eliminate blind spots.
• The benefit of attaching a small convex mirror to the driver’s side mirror.
• The importance of looking and listening for passing traffic or pedestrians when backing up, even if your vehicle has a rear-looking camera.
• Keeping an eye out for inattentive or distracted drivers’ vehicles coming from the rear when stopped at an intersection.
• Look for an escape route at intersections to avoid a collision from the rear.
• Maintain a 2-second safety advantage by scanning all your mirrors and side windows all the time.

The lesson concludes with this advice:

“Rearview mirrors, appropriate head movement, and active visual scanning of the road environment: use them all to your maximum advantage as defensive driving techniques to reduce the likelihood of side and rear collisions.… Read more

CEI Employees Celebrate the Holidays!

Trevose, PA, Dec. 18, 2015 — CEI Employees pulled out all the stops for their multi-faith Winter Holidays decorating contest.

Departments and aisles competed with each other for the most creative, impressive and elaborate displays. The winners, determined by an outside panel of judges from the Bucks Technology Park Security Department, werte:

1st: The CEI Mall, Client Services
2nd: Candyland, Operations
3rd: Winter Wonderland and the Wedding of the Clauses

In the end, all 250 of the company’s employees were winners, as a festive time was had by all.

Personal Safety Training Module Now Available in DriverCare

Trevose, PA, November 17, 2015 – The CEI Group, Inc. (CEI), a fleet driver management company, has added a new online fleet driver safety training lesson, “Maintaining Your Personal Safety,” to its DriverCare™ application. Its focus is on how drivers can avoid and protect themselves from criminal attacks both on the road and as pedestrians after they arrive at their destinations outside the office.

“We’ve created this module because we recognize that fleet drivers’ safety involves more than just traffic hazards,” says Brian Kinniry, CEI’s Senior Director of DriverCare Safety Services. “It involves all the conditions they face in their extended workplace.

The module covers four safety topics:
• Awareness of the driver’s surroundings when out of the vehicle;
• Keeping valuables out of sight
• How to avoid being a victim
• How to respond to a confrontation.

Among the tips the lesson offers are:
• If you’re visiting a potentially unsafe area, program your phone with the local police number , let co-workers know where you’re going and when you’re scheduled to leave.
• Plan to visit risky areas in daylight, and park as close as possible to the building.

CEI to Show Work Truck Fleets How to Save Millions at ATA Management Conference

Trevose, PA, October 15, 2015 – The CEI Group, Inc. can save vocational truck fleets millions of dollars a year by preventing and managing accidents. That’s the message the fleet driver management company is bringing to the American Transport Association’s Management Conference & Exhibition in Philadelphia, being held in the city’s Convention Center October 17 -20.

“Fleets are under constant pressure to cut expenses and save money, and it’s often a surprise to them how much they can save with new approaches to fleet accidents,” said Luann Dunkerley, CEI regional sales manager.
