CEI Awarded I-Car Gold Status for Excellence in Auto Collision Appraisal

Trevose, PA, March 2, 2016 – The CEI Group Inc. (CEI) has earned Gold Class designation for excellence in automobile collision repair appraisal expertise from the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR), a non-profit education and training organization, the company announced today.

I-CAR says Gold Class status is the highest role-relevant training achievement recognized by the collision repair industry, and has been awarded to only 10% of the industry’s repair shops. I-CAR was founded in 1979 as a non-profit alliance representing the six segments of the collision industry, including repair, insurance, manufacturing, education, suppliers and related industry services.

CEI provides accident repair management services to automotive fleets all across North America. The I-Car designation was earned by CEI’s Quality Control Department, lead by Greg Neuman, which consists of 15 licensed physical damage appraisers who review every repair estimate for savings on parts, labor and ensuring that the repair is safe and meets industry standards.

To earn Gold Status, appraisers must take courses in the latest repair techniques and technology in I-CAR’s professional development program and pass a rigorous series of tests. The courses cover every aspect of collision repair, including repairs on hybrid vehicles, advanced materials like aluminum and high-strength steel, safety restraint systems, electrical damage, refinishing , identifying loss recovery potential, and assessing and repairing damage due to hail, theft and vandalism.… Read more

CEI to Present Work Truck Fleet Money-Saving Case Studies in Accident Management and Prevention at NTEA Show

Trevose, PA, February 25, 2016 – The CEI Group, Inc. (CEI), a fleet driver management company, will offer case studies on the savings it has achieved for vocational fleets in accident repair, loss recovery, vehicle remarketing and accident prevention at the NTEA Work Truck Show in Indianapolis, IN. CEI will be exhibiting at Booth 117 at the Indiana Convention Center from March 2 through 4.

“The studies document that our accident management services alone can save and offset more than 50% of a fleet’s annual original repair estimates for work truck collisions,” said Ken Latzko, CEI’s senior director of sales. Mr. Latzko will lead CEI’s seven-person contingent at the trade show, including Luann Dunkerley, a member of the board of governors of the National Private Truck Council Institute.

Among the case studies CEI will present is one for a service fleet of 10,000 vehicles that implemented CEI’s DriverCare fleet safety application. The service prevented 3,525 accidents over six years, cutting the fleet’s accident rate from 36% to 25%, avoiding $92 million in repairs and saving $77.6 million in the “true costs” of fleet accidents, according to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Administration.

Visitors to CEI’s booth will also be offered a white paper entitled “Fleet Driver Management,” which explains CEI’s vocational fleet services and offers more real-world examples of how they generate savings.… Read more

Entitled, “Rearview Defensive Driving,” its goal is to help fleet drivers avoid rear-end and lane-change collisions, which remain among the most common kinds of traffic accidents.

• Keeping an eye out for inattentive or distracted drivers’ vehicles coming from the rear when stopped at an intersection.

• Maintain a 2-second safety advantage by scanning all your mirrors and side windows all the time.

The lesson concludes with this advice:
